        What I don’t understand is how they can build in a flood zone and not have full insurance. Here in Michigan if you have a home in a flood zone and have a mortgage on it then you are required to have it! No exceptions.

        ...they had been flooded 5 or 7 times! Who is helping pay for their rebuilding...a lot of people in land locked states and not by any river or stream, or lake or pond that is prone to flooding.

        Wow, not sure how that is shocking news. I don't wish any devistation or harm to anyone for any reason...but flood insurance is not always a priority or affordable. However, people continue to rebuild after multiple floods. On the news today someone was interviewed packing up
