Trump hit back at Jamie Dimon's comments that he's smarter than the president, saying the banker is a "poor public speaker & nervous mess - otherwise he is wonderful"https://on.wsj.com/2Omoa60

Trump is criticizing the way someone speaks?!!! That’s hilarious coming from a man whose mouth looks like a butt hole every time he speaks and who’s vocabulary is at the level of a 5th grader the most!pic.twitter.com/6cKDgnaxT3

I remember the days when presidents just governed and didn’t worry about petty stuff. Priorities mr. President, focus.

I’ve truly no dog in this fight. But seeing how Trump is the most ignorant, depraved and loutish dirtbag in the nation, I believe I have to give the nod to Dimon. #NeverTrumppic.twitter.com/Rt2q8SQP9z

Lol. Liberal left. I'm sure there's a bunch of people smarter than Trump. Who cares. Trump is Prez and doing a damn fine job. Actually quite remarkable considering the mess he had to clean up coming into office.

I saw Jamie Dimon speak in Houston a while back. The first question from the audience was: why aren't you running for president?

Because he knows that his thoughts in business and capitalize don’t coincide with his liberal beliefs and wouldn’t get enough backing from either party. He is super socially liberal but very capitalistic. Where does that fit? Nowhere. Left is too left and def not conservative

Depends on a lot of factors. If Dimon runs as a Republican, a lot of Democrats would cross over and vote in the Republican primary. If Dimon runs as a Democrat, he might have a shot if Harris, Warren, Booker, Sanders compete for the same primary votes.

What about the current political environment leads you to believe that the above statement would/could happen. If you r a capitalist then you R a demon to the Left and his social & foreign policy views cast him out of the Rep party.

Trump's views and persona were out of step with the Republican Party in 2016, but he was still nominated. Trump won in a very crowded GOP field. The same sort of thing could happen with the Democrats. (But is less likely due to their super delegates)

True. I think that Trump agenda more in line with conservatives but hold a populist view too. Perfect storm of someone that people knew, yet different. Business success but never ran for office. Knew how to negotiate but not a politician. Not sure can/will be replicated.

As I said earlier today (not in this thread), politics can be like a pendulum. The next president will likely be the "opposite" of Trump. One version of the "opposite" of Trump could be a guy like Dimon (or a Ben Sasse). That would be preferable to the leftist version of Trump.

As long as the pockets are full Trump will be Pres. It’s cyclical but that’s usually how it works. Have a good one
