China has a great stake in CPEC. Pakistan new govt. should be able to convince China to renegotiate certain terms of this whole deal. This would be beneficial for both Pakistan & China for the long haul!

Dear @wsj, your graphic has an error. India is NOT one of the countries in the BRI OBOR. And it was Indian strategist @Chellaney who coined the term #debttrapdiplomacy. This stuff stinks and we're keeping as far away as possible, esp since #containingIndia is part of pak deal

incidentally @wsj, you are also violating indian laws under a non-bailable provision by depicting pak and china as controlling chunks of the state of jammu and kashmir. your local correspondent can and probably will end up going to jail.

This is some next level BS! China does not see Pakistan as an ally for its wars and reflection of power but rather an old friend which is also linked with its borders. Pakistan's stability, progress and sovereignty is a top priority for China.

USA on the other hand wants Pakistan to be its slave to help it in Afghanistan and remains in the debt trap forever.

Had India captured pak occupied kashmir and aksai china in time, this situation wouldn't have arisen. POK belongs to India, aksai china is Indias. Geography was on India's side. But Nehru legacy has destroyed everything
