Opinion: The economy should have roared back. Instead it crawled, writes Peter J. Ferrarahttps://on.wsj.com/2N5N7pH

...maybe because we were just a hair away from total economic collapse....?

Well, there’s a lot of data on show there and I’d like to see an opposing argument so well made for comparison, but one thing: the worst recovery since the Great Depression - wasn’t it also the worst recession since the Great Depression? Maybe that’s not nothing.

I mean, surely the fact that it didn’t roar back after the Great Depression contradicts the main point of: the bigger the recession, the bigger the recovery? Maybe there are limits? I don’t know, but I’d like to hear the other side of the argument.

I’ve said this elsewhere. The worst recovery since the great depesssion makes complete sense when you are dealing with the worst economic collapse SINCE the Great Depression. Bush did typical regulation/tax cuts too. Yet the Great Recession happened. Under his watch in fact.

Ignoring, of course, a Republican congress that sabotaged obama at every step.

9 of the last 10 recessions that we had to recover from occurred under a Republican president. You're better than this drivel WSJ

Sure is nice to be a back street driver. You need to walk in someone’s shoes before judging. I think with what he was handed he did great, while dealing with “obstructionist Republicans”. Doesn’t that sound familiar? He did hand over a good economy to Trump, in my opinion.

President Obama’s recovery was BALANCED! He did not prioritize corporate America at the expense of the environment, climate, consumer protections, and the FUTURE of coming generations! Trump HAS! And the bill will be horrendous.

One of the things I love about President Obama is that you can tell in which year his picture was taken by the amount of soul sucked out of him as told by the amount of gray in his hair.
