A display of inexcusable behavior by a role model for so many young women, taking away a shining moment for one of those women.

I would respectfully submit that a woman who has won, I think, 23 singles titles is going to bristle when accused of cheating by a ref. And protesting a wrong defines role model behavior. Challenging a ref has nothing to do with the opponent.

There was no wrong perpetrated by the chair. 1st. warning by chair for her coach - coaching from the stands. 2nd. for her racket abuse - point. 3rd. - Verbal abuse of the chair. 3 strikes.

Naomi Osaka was wonderful, and it's a shame that her well deserved win was marred by Serena's temper tantrum.

@usopen That chair umpire needs to lose his job. He robbed Osaka of a clean victory and Williams of a fair match. WTH?
