The secret Starbucks ingredient is no secret, just add at least 50g of sugar in each drink and they will come. The “sophisticated” crowd will pay $6 for a cup of modern day soda and call it coffee.

This doesn't hold for Starbucks outside the USA. I took advantage of my Starbucks training to move to the UK and most people get unsweetened drinks here. I'd applied to Italy 'cause I want to master my Italian. Go work a year here or there and get multilingual.

I live in HCMC 1/2 the year and it holds true here. Starbucks is exporting metabolic syndrome by way of excessive sugar in the variety of drinks they sell.

Hmm. Here our best sellers are the flat white, the cappuccino, Americano, latte, filter coffee and tea. We get frappuccino orders like crazy during heat waves but now tea and coffee are the main buzz again. Even I moved to unsweetened over here at home. I make cold brew 😂

Milan too. I applied there. Got hired in the UK, but I'd originally hoped to land in Italy first to master my Italian.
