Interesting question: The FCC declared that the internet is a public utility. If that is the case, that should mean that private companies like Facebook/Twitter/Google are now roughly a type of utility service provider. That could green light speech enforcement on some level.

By redefining these companies as public utilities, you have granted that the government can enforce certain types of standards on how these companies run their platforms. While you can't enforce silencing speech, you can enforce rules that bar speech suppression.
