I always alternated paying. I don’t care how much the guy makes. He shouldn’t have to be the one to finance a relationship. I’m not helpless, I make great money. If a man is bothered by that then he’s not secure enough in his masculinity and I wouldn’t want him anyway.

When in doubt, split the bill. Problem solved. Even though I don't understand why it is a problem to begin with

No it isn’t complicated; it’s DNA. Men are supposed to be the one who pays. I don’t care what millennia it is that’s how we’re wired

"Men are supposed to be the one who pays" is kind of anti-feminist if you think about it long enough.

Men have forgotten how to sack up and take the lead, however, you also have to adapt and be flexible should your date object. Offer to let her pick up the tab the next time. If she likes you she will go for it.

I never paid for a date... Except...only a few who got a repeat date, but once I got to know someone, I would pay for a birthday dinner or cook one. I found my girlfriends who paid for dates...they were continually used and/or, quickly tossed aside.

I agree, let the men pay for the date but pick up perhaps a taxi ride or a round of drinks at the bar or like u said, make dinner ! I’m married now but I would also buy thoughtful gifts. Allow a man to have chivalry- it spills over into the relationship too!

Why? Confident women are ok with paying or sharing the bill.
