NJ try to wrangle pension problem? Your Governor spent all his political capital attacking this problem, and nobody took him seriously. You finally realize that Christie was right, but now our state is broke. Who believes you can solve anything? Better hope they vote!

Most state legislatures have played games with the public pension funds. They also approved labor contracts, again kicking the can for someone else to deal with. Now they whine about where they are now. Time to suck it up, sit down with unions, and work it out. It’s called work.

California 13.3%, Oregon 9.9%, Minnesota 9.85%, Iowa 8.98%, New Jersey 8.97%. How can they be broke? Entitlements outstrip revenues. Do you raise taxes further or reduce entitlements? Could high taxes act as a disincentive?

So 401ks are now socialist?
-
Voting for people who continue to bankrupt the city is just dumb.
-
Voting for those people to run the state is tantamount to walking into an incinerator looking for a cold drink.
-
You know many states are having pension issues, right? Including Republican controlled states? Georgia, Michigan, Florida, Ohio, Texas, Kentucky, etc. all are facing pension shortfalls.
-
Atlanta = Democrat Lansing = Democrat Tallahassee = Democrat Columbus = Democrat Austin = Democrat Frankfort = Democrat You’re not contributing must to your defense.
-
All of those states have Republican controlled legislatures and governors. Your defense is ridiculous.
-
You obviously don’t know anything about state/ capital economics.
