Two academics created a rule change they believe will make baseball a more exciting sport—and cut almost a half-hour out of a nine-inning gamehttps://on.wsj.com/2onMitC

I stopped at 2 outs. Nah. Don't ruin the sport.

Yea I’m sorry, as a former college player, this sounds like a beer league softball rule. It would ruin the game of baseball. That’s my opinion.

They’re not saving anything. If they don’t have the attention span to watch a game, they shouldn’t.

I think this is a great rule to install into little league games. You could potentially cut down on the number of pitches for young arms and perhaps not have as many lopsided wins keeping kids more engaged. I also think LL should go to a 1-1 count to lower pitch counts

We don't call them strikeouts. We now call them "nice chances."

Catch up rule? Ok. 2 out, runner at third. 0-0 score. Runner steals home safely. Now what?

Say it ain’t so, Jason. “Catch-up” is heresy, tilting the playing field to the inferior team; has your account been taken over by a Russian-bot?pic.twitter.com/RuSdsHFh8N

@JerrySeinfeld when baseball is ruined with rule changes like this, add the 24 minutes back to the game and get coffee with a fellow comedian in the bullpen cart.

This is silly. And the author of this article should smarten up and not take preemptive swipes at those who disagree. Limiting pitching changes would be more realistic and not ruin the fabric of the game.
