And he fought dragons, saved the maiden fare, ended the scourge of the angry plague wombats, and many other things THAT NEVER HAPPENED. The senate hasn't ceded any powers to the presidency.

He’s a hero. Most of his senate and House colleagues are gutless, feckless, complicit cowards. No cojones.

That Congress is a co equal branch of our government, no less powerful than the executive branch, and a brake for run away executive power is a truism that ought be shouted from the highest edifices. It sadly over the decades has ceded this responsibility under both parties.

WRONGGG. John McCain’s ONLY job was to represent the people who voted for him. He failed. He made campaign promises, people voted for him, then he went back on his word for his own agenda. How is that honorable? His demise doesn’t change he betrayed Arizona voters. Sorry.

I can't believe the power the US gives it's President. Didnt it wonder what would happen if an evil person was in the Oval Office? Really? How dumb is that? Many died in revolution to get rid of a King. That's the whole reason you exist. And now you worship a "President"? Silly

We spent 12 years without an executive leader and we nearly crumbled. So they spent several months trying to balance the need of a leader with the need to check their power. The president can't do anything without asking for money to pay people to do it.

Stupid Opinon! Why didn't he rise up this way under Obama? His Never Trump vindictiveness is what gave rise to his "fight for the Senate powers".

Unfortunately not on principle or what he believed in , but on resistance. Trump's foreign affairs agenda is exactly what McCain prescribed.
