Hardly wait for Trump to congratulate himself on this. High wage earners are in even better shape where greed is concerned than ever while the facts show that low wage earners are falling behind because of inflation and wage stagnation at their level. #GreedNeverSleeps

People who are "low wage earners"-too often dropped out of high school-use drugs-& have a spotty work history-& did not go on to vocational schools to learn a trade-and then expect their low skills and lack of education to pay them A living wage! It's time to get real!

That's not true. I mean I've been A+ certified to repair computers since the age of 16, ran a computer repair department at the age of 17 working 30 hour weeks while going to HS. Worked for Apple, networked there and got a job as a network administrator 1/

Working 60 hour weeks while going to school to get an associates (all I could afford) I made 14$ an hour at that job. I then went on and working on a school IT team in a very afluent community. I made 30k a year. I was barely able to scrape by but I could. 2/3

30k a year comes out to 15$ an hour. It was a disgrace. I got very lucky with a rent. Min wage is 7.25 an hour. That's a starvation wage. Somebody in this economy in a different field working their a$$ off to get maybe 10-12$ an hour wouldn't be able to provide for themselves.

And you are on the starvation wage why? Did you drop out of school? If you went to school did you major in the wrong thing? I just have to laugh myself silly when I hear people who majored in "gender studies" WHINE that they can't get a job-well duh!

Did you not read my post? I did everything right. I grew up poor. I can't afford a bachelor's but I started really early and have a ton of experience and I still made just above the poverty line. WAGES ARE TOO LOW TO SUSTAIN THE ECONOMY PERIOD.

Lots of people grow up poor & become well-established-YOU could've gotten loans to go to school-you could've gone to trade school or vocational school-there's so many scholarships out there and state rehabilitation agencies BUT the fact is you didn't take advantage of any of them

I worked and went to school-I also got scholarships--I was a waitress-a cashier and even a cook to work my way through college for my first six years of training for a masters degree-you just want to be handed everything-make better choices
