No, definitely judge beer it's color. Among other ingredients, malts give beer color and that not only gives you a hint as to taste but the absence of it is more akin to vodka than beer. A beer without color has all the character of American cheese.

I honestly doubt that after clear Pepsi, clear drinks will make it back to the US market. Similar to how hot, canned beverages (that are popular in Japan) failed to grab any traction.
So they are not challenging the US monopoly on beer that tastes like water.
