So, US is into a trade war with China. US owes $1.2 Trillion to China on its national debt. China taxes Soybean as a quid pro quo on US Tariffs. US borrows money from China to give $4.7 Billions to farmers. Makes sense?

.Last week media reported China would not be lending or buying US Treasury Bonds anymore. #USA is being downgraded, will be junk bond status soon. Trumps Govt plans to sell them into Pensions, IRAs and 401K's. Watch your accounts go bust. Remember Enron, 2008 CRASH and This!👇pic.twitter.com/iA0EKIYTi4

Plenty of farmers are still getting paid to NOT grow crops. That's been going on for a long, long time.

Why should taxpayers have to bear the weight of a farmer's inability to adapt to the evolving market. Do Tariffs help failing farms, no but the failing agriculture industry didn't start because of Tariffs. This is corporate welfare, just painted a different shade.

Most taxpayers have yet to realize that interference by Gov/State - always coercion-based via Enforcers, domestic & military - does NOT help anyone viewed wide & long range. Sadly most still are shortrange thinkers & don't use reasoned logic.
