Many people thought Toys "R" Us could emerge from bankruptcy as a viable company. So why did it die?https://on.wsj.com/2P6jZv1

Big box retail is dying or dead. Why drive across town, deal with traffic and parking, walk around a huge store just to find out they don't have exactly what you want? You can stay home, find it on line, buy it and have it in a day or two.

Maybe we should return to the days before all these huge corporations controlled everything. Remember "Mom and Pop" stores? Not many of them around anymore.

It was more internal issues that killed the beloved toy company. Toys R Us didn’t modernize themselves over the years both with technology advancements and store modernizations. Look at the companies devolving today like Kmart & Sears because they didn’t change with the times.

It’s too bad they couldn’t have tried to keep the Babies R’ Us part of property viable. We did the majority of our shopping at that place in preparation of our son.
