Toys “R” Us “had real people, credible institutions, engaged in a serious discussion around potentially reorganizing the company.” Then five hedge funds stopped the clock.https://on.wsj.com/2PxnECV

Another group of rich a** hole people tanking a company. Then turn around a cry that's it's unfair that Amazon and millennials destroyed it. I would say failures of capitalism.pic.twitter.com/wPF52euv4F

Venture capitalist. They are also killing Sears and killed the Sports Authority. They get rich killing iconic brands.

American greed. Shareholders are greedy. It's plain & simple. 2008 was a great example of that. Shareholders loved the deregulated banking industry.....they would have sold air if they could & it all crashed down. Now...Komrade Trump is deregulating again - why? Greed.

The #1 thing wrong with capitalism. Stockholders best interest short term... Ain't all it's cracked up to be. 🙄

How about greedy executives who cared more for themselves & bonuses vs. actually improving the overall being of the company? It was a slap in the face 4 @ToysRUs to even give those clowns bonus payouts as if they hadn't robbed the company enough for doing nothing already. #greed

Agreeing to having your claims subordinated is a substantial risk that requires a high level of confidence in future success. What about Toys R Us would lead a rational investor to conclude a restructuring would succeed? The article does not mention this.

Walmart & Costco can jump for joy to fill 10 rows of more toys with 1 less competitor “just like that”.

I can't say I shopped there much, but if I needed a shower gift, it was nice to have that option. Like Target's failure in Canada took away Zellers and now we have less choice.
