How terrible that the US is seeking an advantage over the country that wants to displace it and ultimately destroy its manufacturing sector!

If the U.S. smells blood then check where we are bleeding. China owns us. We can pretend to be the aggressor but China holds our debt, we pay them a lot of cash for that privilege. Our debt pays for their military. The debt from the #Trump #TaxCut could double their Armed Forces.

China owns less than 5% of our debt. Majority of US debt is held by Americans and American institutions. Plus, China is VERY dependent on a strong US dollar.

Actually, China owns more than double that. Followed closely by Japan... Almost 50% of our debt is foreign owned. #Globalists $1.6 TRILLION in debt has been added above projections due to #Trumponomicspic.twitter.com/vqoBdUNBLv

Wrong. Your chart is old(2014). Current US debt is $21 Trillion. As of 2018 Foreign holdings is a little over $6 trillion so around 30%. China, as I said, owns around 5% with a little over $1 Trillion. Majorly of US debt is held by Americans. We need to cut spending massively.

The chart illustrates foreign ownership of public debt. That amounts to 45% of all our public debt. The % falls if you include 5.7 Trillion intragovenmental “borrowing”, but of course that isn’t public debt or proper accounting. (CBO July 2018) Foreign ownership is *increasing*pic.twitter.com/wtADVvsw10

A big reason Japan entered world war 2 was for economic reasons. The oil embargo lead to the first invasions. We need to understand that if we go to far the blood on the water may end up being our own. Any policy that ignores this realty is dangerous.

Japan had the dominant military in the Pacific pre WW II. But China’s military in just evolving. Now if we were to wait 25 years before taking action, then that would be a problem.

All we want is a fair deal where both sides benefit. Naturally, they may wish they had the old deal where they’ve been ripping us off. They were losing respect for America. We want fairness and mutual respect among our 2 nations.
