Update your resume with the new “title” and then start sending out the new resume. There’s more than one way to get a raise.

You use the new title as leverage for a higher salary at a new job or you get out of the rat race and start your own business.

Well, I think that you must weigh out your options. Some companies are small, and there is very little room to grow, so it may behoove you to accept it. Also, turning a job down may be a nail in the coffin for future growth/ opportunity. Also, try and be optimistic, and have fun.

Last year, my employer offered me a promotion AND a raise. 6 mths into taking on the title & exceptional responsibility there was still no raise PLUS they removed previous benefits. Twice as much work/responsibility for significantly less compensation. Never again.
