“I appreciated them being blunt about it,” said one African-American first-year student about her college addressing its slave-owner connectionshttps://on.wsj.com/2whtNKS

It’s time for colleges to start instructing their students on their course studies and to stop pandering to the apologists who want to rewrite the nation’s history.

This is a very interesting debate. Spaniards torn down pyramids in Mexico and Guatemala in the name of God! Radicals in the middle east are turning down historic sites for alleged similar reasons! Removing statues does not delete the past and shuts ideas

So do we now scrub our history of any figures that did anything questionable. BTW, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was an adulterer who probably plagiarized his doctoral dissertation. Is he next?

THEIR being blunt about it. "Being" is a gerund, a present participle used as a noun, and thus requires the possessive pronoun. What has happened to education?

Yes, because after all the Nazi monuments were torn down Germany totally forgot about the history of Nazism.
