I stand with anybody actively working to ensure that those hoping to enjoy the privilege of wearing a professional sports uniform will be prepared to bring with them a culture of integrity and respect. That’s the only measure that will be effective both short-term and long-term.

Agreed. How do we insist on a permanent moral standard while also education a personal sense of moral determination. I.e. we "can't tell people they're wrong" yet we fire them daily for being so. It's confusing and unsustainable imo

I was not. I am speaking to a culture in baseball that will not change simply by having teams or agents deleting old tweets before they’re found. It’s a systemic change that requires hard work and sustained effort.

Oh, I didn't take it as purging tweets to protect players but to discover them to eradicate the problems. Interesting point. I agree "hiding" bigotry is counterproductive
