Shame falls WELL short of what’s required.

Shame and repentance but ZERO culpability and zero mentions of cleaning house, my house. Not these filthy bishops and cardinals.

And yet in that major report from Pennsylvania, they, the Vatican, were involved in the "systematic cover-up" of the pedophiles.

Day late $ short. The Catholic Church continues to hide pedophiles and keep them from prosecution by moving them around the world.

How many times and you denounce it . When first you knew it was going on, it was documented and second you keep the same system in place.

Why didn’t the Pope go ahead and release all the information before being forced to? Because he’s only sorry they got caught!

...And this time they really, really, really mean it. Not like the last 229,887 when this happened it & they covered it up, enabling more children to be sexually abused. No, this time they are going to put letters in each child rapist's file, & give each pedophile a stern lecture

What’s sad is the fact that that was just from one state. Just imagine what would have been uncovered if all the states did the same thing. Someone entering the priesthood not to serve God but to molest youngsters. Nothing but a pedophile and his only intent to sexually molest.

Good start. I believe him. Now we need action. I’m just afraid Rome may move too slowly. Like the council of Trent after their reformation horse had already left the barn.

Moving slowly is often good. And very much a Catholic and Roman tradition. But here we need quicker action. And people must go to jail. Until the Vatican gets a jail, that means civil authorities must be involved.
