The right to free speech is at the heart of democracy. And it’s not really about the speaking act, but about the act of being heard. If this is mishandled we end up with a podium discussion, where one side has their microphones turned off.

I'm from Africa, from the Congo, from a Community that experienced and knows what you mean by being on the side that has the microphone switched off .

Your characterisation of him as "extreme" is an attempt at normalising this. He's not extreme. You are extreme.

See.. I knew it. There is such thing as a stupid question congratulations. And 'tech giant cowards' have gone way too far. Theyre all filthy disgusting cowards afraid of an even playing field. It's sickening.

whether it be a restaurant, a ballpark, a movie theater, a social media platform, or another other business, there are rules of behavior. Follow them and enjoy their services. Break them and reap the consequences.

separate companies did it as a collective (on the same day) so the idea its a private set of rules is a bit dishonest

Tech giants have no morals. If they get paid, they are for it.

On the one hand, individual companies have the complete right to police their own content, and should be free to do so. On the other, censoring certain ideas or content dampens true intellectual engagement and only serves to promote fringe opinions at the expense of reason.

Who defines what is extreme? Because there are a lot things going on in the world today that are extreme to me, yet they are all over the web. Girls being allowed to go into boys bathrooms, boys being allowed to go in girls bathrooms, saying there are more than two genders, etc

No, freedom of speech is just that with all the warts, scars and marks. The consequences are up to those who employ & listen to him. If the numbers fall, he’s gone
