Many people—often secretly and silently ashamed—pour bacon grease down the drain despite knowing they shouldn’t.https://on.wsj.com/2MbdOYF

Why anyone would throw delicious bacon grease away instead of keeping it and using it in cooking later is beyond my understanding.

My Nana used to cook bacon or sausage, then cook scrambled eggs in the same pan without draining. She never had to add butter to stop the eggs from sticking or to add flavor. Those scrambled eggs melted in your mouth and were delicious.pic.twitter.com/XZ2Zv1YnVV

Nana lived to be 92-years-old, so there must be something healthy in it too.

Save it and use it in cooking. Pretty good stuff.

I'm not the biggest pork fan and I don't eat bacon but if I did instead of down the drain I'd use it to make gravy with. The Egyptians knew about gene splicing and the pig is a mixed creature with maybe a bit of human dna. What other animal can you grow every human organ on?

Why would anyone eat bacon that looked like that? Grill it, lightly...then add it to your poached eggs and bread of choice... Washed down with the blackest of coffees.
