Good! They shouldn’t be forcibly taking money from people.

Unions are the main reason that wages got up to livable levels. You think employers are going to spend any money on employees they don't have to? They'll offer the bare minimum even though they want employees with 4+ year college degrees.
-
Unions were instrumental in forcing labor laws- we agree, but now we have labor laws. Isn't that the point of a movement, to eventually make thing right so you're no longer needed? The only thing they are instrumental in now is the decay of Detroit and getting dems elected.
-
And you honestly think that if remove unions from the equation employers will stay above board? The right to work states have some of the lowest wages in the country
-
Yes. Period. If they are so valuable why are people who have "paid for" services leaving in droves when they are freed of the force? My issue is mostly with govt unions, if private co wants to there is competition for employess. All govt jobs being union is a monopoly, no choice

#BraveNewWorld where the civil service rules over a population of oblivious inmates being farmed for the amusements of the elite few. Sound familiar? Welcome to America circa last week. Have a soma, itll all be ok...#GreenNewDealpic.twitter.com/R1k77QsBgb

Good observations! As for the guy in the photo, he is NOT FDR but FDR Jr, and FDR was NOT a Democrat Socialist. In fact he ran against one (Norman Thomas) and repeatedly defeated him. He was NOT more popular than Ronaldus Maximus, and did NOT create the middle class! DUH!
-
Meme dissection? Have you read his list of Bills? He was a progressive. His banking acts, labor laws, social security, etc are the definition of a social democrat. He didnt create the middle class he ensured its survival.
-
I agree with your statement about the survival of the middle class, but today's Progressives are nothing like the progressives of 85 years ago, who were proud to be Americans!
-
If you can look at what we are doing in Iraq, Yemen, or a dozen other countries we are bombing for Exxon & still be proud, your priorities are what has changed. Not the rest of us. 80 years ago we were "the good guys". Now we're the global bullies enforcing corporate profits.
