From: President Teddy Roosevelt (Republican) Speech 1910 I believe in a graduated income tax and a graduated inheritance tax on big fortunes, properly safeguarded against evasion, and increasing rapidly in amount with the size of the estate.

This is terrible. Politicians are the worst. Stop spending money. Imagine if they got real jobs and were forced to pay taxes on money they actually did work for

Well, it is either spend less or raise more money. Either way, we need to live within our means. The deficit has ballooned while under the responsibility of spending hawk Paul Ryan.

You mean it’s either spend less or steal more. Because the government doesn’t “raise” money outside of selling notes and selling notes just adds to the national debt. So the only option is to cut programs that have no business existing like welfare, social security, etc

Wow, ok. Congress decides what we want spend money on and has Constitutional authority to raise that money via taxes. These are facts. The government does not steal money from its citizens.

Wrong. Taxation is theft. Nowhere in the constitution does it consent for the government to take money from one citizen to give to another. Infact many of our founders wrote extensively warning us about politicians who promise it. 70% of our budget is spent on entitlement
