yes, but by bluffing and puffing, he's getting countries to the negotiating table. The U.S. will always run a trade deficit, we're the biggest consumer and we can't/won't produce enough to change that.

WRONG: who’s side you on? Other countries need to lower tariffs on our goods so we can sell more of our stuff over there, our ultimate goal!

What stuff? Other than food and movies we have very little to sell competitively.

Sort of the point all of our exports! It isn’t competitive since other countries put huge tariffs so nothing would sell. This needs to change and make things more level and free! History discussed the need for ‘em to help repair damages of the World Wars & we are way past that!

We aren’t competitive because high wages and poor quality drove most of the manufacturing overseas in the 80’s and 90’s. These aren’t the only factors but they are big ones. Tariffs have had little to do with the trade imbalance

With other countries charging tariffs on our products coming into their country and our country offering a free or minor charge to come into ours, we are make anything like you suggest even worse! Trump is just trying to push things in the right direction for our sake!

What trump thinks is this is like the NYC Real Estate Market where he got away with being a bully because he was bigger. Doesn't translate to International Trade

If you want someone to stop hitting you you hit back twice as hard. When they want to stop all hitting you agree. Is Karl Rove actually not bright enough to understand what he's advocating is Exactly what the president is doing or is he just mouthing off for anti-Ttump points?
