America spends more on health care and has worse outcomes than the rest of the developed world. Why?https://on.wsj.com/2KdVB7J

Because our stupid government allows insurance company’s to be in charge, they are allowed to tell you what you can and cannot have done based on what they will cover, and because hospitals can charge whaothey want. Needs to be universal care!!!! That will reign in the cost.

LOL. This was a trend well before Obamacare. Thanks for your partisan BS based on nothing but bias and not being objective.

Healthcare prices inflated over the decades from Dem mandates imposed on coverage even before Obamacare ie mental health coverage required in all policies. The consumers paid for the mandates even if they didn't want or couldn't afford the coverage

The profit-driven model is a failure. The top 4 health insurance companies alone all had profits over $1 billion in 2017. That is insane. What is the value-add of those companies? They certainly are not driving health care costs down.

Reason is simple but hard to correct. The cost and burden of complying with all the rules and regs cause providers and insurers to spend substantial $ to comply. The other is amount $ spent defending/settling lawsuits. Shame when a $7B class lawsuit settled, true victim get nada
