Pro-gun or anti-gun, this is without a doubt one of the worst moves ever made.

Why else would anyone use a 3D printer for a gun ? More expensive , less durable & probably untraceable

His would be no different than making any other type of homemade gun. I assume it never happens because it would be less expensive, easier, and faster to illegally obtain a gun via stealing, straw purchase, black market, etc.

You can avoid a background check simply by buying a gun at a gun show or from a private citizen that is not a federally licensed gun dealer.

Only private sales depending on state law can skip the BG check, all FFL dealers must do BG checks, gun shows are no exception.

This is a First Amendment issue, not a gun control issue. Surprised the lauded @WSJ doesn't seem to get that. Plans for nuclear bombs, chemical weapons, IED''s and booby traps have been published (legally) for decades. How are plans for 3-D guns any different?

Want Republicans to ban 3D-printed guns? It’s easy. Start arming women, people of color, LGBT and anyone else feeling under attack from this fascist Russian-backed government and its NRA overlords. Just think of all the fun colors we can use!
