As much as I support @POTUS’s trade agenda across the board with one exception broad agricultural exports to #EU. Europe in general has a much higher food quality and food safety standards. We shouldn’t dump our industrially produced agricultural goods there.

America needs to support small family farms, not rich agro-industrial companies that produce GMO or genetically edited foods. In fact, I believe we should adopt #EU food safety standards in the US. If we consume less, we would spare the healthcare system boat load of money.

“On agriculture, I think we’ve been very clear on that—that agriculture is out of the scope of these discussions,” Mina Andreeva, the European Commission spokeswoman, told reporters in Brussels on Friday. “We are not negotiating about agricultural products,”
