What can fliers expect from today’s coach seats? We put some CEOs in those seats to explainhttps://on.wsj.com/2Ok39cl

Make them fly from NY to Hawaii in one of those seats when the plane is fully packed, and make sure the cabin crew does not know who they are.

I just flew PHL to Hawaii in coach. Ended up in urgent care w/ worst sciatic flare I’ve experienced and, BONUS, got sent to ER for leg u/s to rule out blood clot. Really looking forward to the ride home.

I am surprised when anyone survives the trip. I live in Hawaii and make a habit of staying a few days in LA so that when I have to go to the east coast, I do not have to sit for the 17 hours straight.

make the seats wider & comfortable so people will be happy with the airline.

Agree. While lack of leg room is definitely uncomfortable (I have long legs), I personally think seat width is much more of a problem, especially when neither I nor the people beside me are petite people!

For me, the acute angle, bad lumbar support and head forward angle all add up to ergonomically incorrect and painful seating. I'd rather stand!!!

Middle seat too. With the chair in front leaning all the way back.

Put those CEO's on a sold out flight and then toss in a 45 minute ground delay after pulling back from the gate. Then give me your comments.

Seat them in non-reclining back row by the heads, and put a crying baby in the row in front of them. Good times!

Article should have been titled "When People Don't Matter; Putting Profits Over People" an interview with the ethically challenged Delta & American Airlines CEOs.

@WSJ they say buy the extra legroom. So being tall means I have to spend more money on legroom. I’m a public school teacher, not a CEO

I am just so thankful that I have no where to go and don't have to put myself at the mercy (or more commonly, the lack of it) of any airline.

Obviously you can't drive everywhere but if there is any possible way, I drive now instead of flying. I would rather have the freedom of the road then be jackknifed into a cramped seat on an overpacked flight where everyone else is miserable too.
