Couldn’t POSSIBLY be constantly raising fares while providing increasingly worse service. Couldn’t possibly be that.

It couldn't possibly be due to crowded trains, closed lines, and constant delays... no, it couldn't be.

I take an UberPool to work every morning. Typical cost is $2.99. Less than a quarter more to not walk 4 blocks to the subway and wait on a hot platform surrounded by way too many people? Easy choice

Started riding my bike again after 15 minute trains delays and overcrowded cars made the commute unbearable. Thanks @GovAndrewCuomo

@mta if your "competitor" is better than you, either figure out how to compete or continue raising prices for subpar service and keep losing customers. I suggest you stop blaming @Uber who is terrible in its own way & step it up. Start by getting @NYGovCuomo to do his part.

New York City added almost 500,000 residents between 2010 and 2017, according to U.S. census data. Yet annual subway ridership plateaued in 2015 before falling by 0.3% in 2016 and by 1.7% in 2017. So far this year, it is down 2.1%.

Subway should be the fastest since it avoids traffic. I have found that many times walking is faster than subway or any on-road transportation. My order of selection is walk, subway and last vehicle.
