A White House decision to impose levies on U.S. imports of autos and car-parts—about $60 billion annually from Europe—would be a 'disastrous' and illegal move to gain leverage in trade negotiations, EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström said.https://on.wsj.com/2L6cExU

why doesn't @WSJ mention fact USA has just a 3.5% tariff on EU cars but faces a 10% tariff in EU plus a 15% enviromental tax thus hit 25% ? @WSJ does this over & over ..... @WSJ outright lies to its readers why ?

Heard Varney say this morning that he has heard that Juncker is bringing a deal in on cars next week-supposed to be similar to deal inked with Japan--I predict that deal won't be good enough for Trump

i talked about this yesterday They will offer to cancel EU car tariffs if we call off ALL our tarifffs Obvious bad deal because they still have a 15% enviro tax Trump should counter with offer of 0% tariffs & taxes by both sides on just autos EU will refuse despite fair

I don't think juncker will walk away without a deal though-bad for his image to fly across the pond and fly back empty-plus EU carmakers ex. Peugeot really want a deal-esp. BENZ

American farmers are getting screwed by Trump tariffs and the lack of Mexican workers to pick the fruit . American teens haven't worked in farming as a summer job since the 1960's . Trump is all over the map on trade but hasn't negotiated one single "Deal " . Inflation recession

Europe needs us more than we need them. We have tolerated their illegal tariffs long enough. Time to do what we can to level the playing field.

So if the US wants tariffs on imports it's illegal, but the tariffs that are placed on US goods by the EU, China, etc are alright? The EU can get bent.

Ask Cecilia how much their import tariff on US autos is? Any of you ever seen American cars in Europe?
