No offense, but this article is a joke. The heyday of Push-to-talk was the late 90’s, and a brief renaissance (mostly through smartphone apps) occurred around 2010-2013. It’s never had widespread adoption. But you call it “the future” and go on an on like it’s the next big thing.

Most of my out-firm industry contacts and I talk on the phone to discuss matters, despite the temptation to email (although, most times, in business, one needs things in writing). Sadly, most of my US friends prefer text. The ones around the world (voice/video) calls (Messenger).
