        How dare he expect them to live up to their commitments...they had no intent of ever meeting their obligations at the time they were made. This is the nature of modern politics. Why doesnt he understand this?

        But their commitment of 2% start at 2024. As per agreement. No obligation is unfullfilled.

        The original pledge was made in 2006. The 2024 target was set in 2014 after only a handful of NATO members did anything to reach the number.
