Why are fewer moviegoers turning out for comedies? Blame superheroes, YouTube stars and Netflix.https://on.wsj.com/2tJxCHY

Seriously? Producers in Hollywood seems to compete with each other to see who can come up with the most depraved, disgusting, and just plain weird stories. What passes for comedy these days, in all of the entertainment industry, is just not funny...

Could it be that they've insulted half the population for a year and a half?

Give us a great story. Comedy doesn’t need to have disgusting scenes and painful predicaments. Look at the great comedies over time.

Blame shitty slapstick comedies. I'd rather go to a comedy club nowadays.

Maybe people are sick & tired of vulgarity posing as comedy.

Because they don't make funny comedies anymore.

Hollywood essentially destroyed both the audio & visual art form. One with cheap vulgarity and the other with mindless comic strips and tired stories. They just simply ran out of ideas. It is time to shut down the studios and big productions unless it is an epic tale.

But who would leave their house to go watch a bro-comedy about adults playing tag in 2018. They need to respect ya first.
