Must be nice says the
#Trucker that puts in over 300 hours per month. *No overtime pay either -
that’s a quite a bit of an exaggeration considering that you live inside your truck and all of your expenses are covered.
-
Wow... never new all my expenses where covered.... better tell that to the bank where my mortgage is for the house that my family lives in while I'm on the road 300 days a year.
-
I have a relative who was married with two kids while trucking. don’t even try to play me.
-
Not playing anything....there are lots of types of trucking...and as I'm waiting here to load (not being paid or making any miles) but still putting in time 3000 miles from home I'll just leave it alone.
-
I respect those who do what they have to do to provide, but I have no sympathy for those who choose a hard life and then constantly whine about it. no one is forcing you, which is what this article is about.
-
I agree with you, I choose what I do and enjoy it, my point is simply that there are undervalued careers in N.A. too. It would be nice to have the trucking industry looked at as there has been major restrictions in how we can earn without adjusting compensation.
-
then don’t make fun of a society that pushes its men to work nonstop, no matter what job they have. that’s not how America is and you know it.
