Perhaps you're right. But I don't believe this is about geography. Its about technology.

I don't pretend to know the context of his remarks but satellite technology has a huge influence on economies, and a peoples day to day life. Protecting those assets isn't entirely silly. It allowed you to tweet about sycophants.

In a hundred years later, your great grand children will be glad the President you hated started a Space Force.

He’s scared of aliens and brown children. Remember during the campaign when he promised to find out about ET and if the government knew anything. 🙄

I respect OHanlon but in this case he is wrong. The space domain is not only essential for military operations across all other domains, it is also essential for global economics. Protecting our vital assets in that domain is critical. The AF is predominantly focused on Air.

I hate to break this to you, but some of those 'alternative media' outlets you refuse to acknowledge have been talking about us having a Secret Space Program for years now. Ever wonder where the missing $21 Trillion went?

We control whatever we have in space from the ground. Call it whatever you want it has existed for years! Trump’s new to the games I guess or wants people to think he created something new by renaming it.

Just wow... no jungle force? Really? Never heard of special forces? Rangers? Guess research is not required for editorials? Smh

Short sighted, ignorant, lack of vision. A space force might sound silly now but its the logical next step in protecting our low orbit assets and our airspace from well above. Wonder if the same was said about the air force in the early days of flight.
