Navarro is a nut job. His views on protectionism have been laughed at for years by his peers. Leave it to Trump to give him a platform. He is the Stephen Miller of Economics

Early New England textile mills stole the designs of equipment invented in Britain for British textile mills and smuggled in skilled British workers to operate it. There ain’t a developed country in today’s world that didn’t get its start by stealing intellectual property.

This was accurate 30-40 years ago, not anymore. China is world’s leading country in R&D and IT. You better stick with the HHRR and “democracy” propaganda. But it may not work now. The irony is that the US has more prisoners than China and Trump is kidnapping immigrant children.

Navarro you are complaining after all the horses left the barn many, many years ago. Unfortunately but true.

Anything widely or commercially sold can be copied in another country. This is an issue? There are greater issues as available technology starts a stagnation era partially through suppression. This adverse effect on Buyer Market alone has seen stagnation occur in other countries.
