Fast-food restaurants are turning to robots—not to get rid of workers, but because they can't find enough https://on.wsj.com/2K7h9rA pic.twitter.com/0oJf8wR7zd

No try because they can no longer afford employees they have to pay $15 per hour just to flip burgers and cook fries.

This strikes me a bullshit. They'd find plenty of workers if they paid enough.

This should read "because they aren't willing to pay enough to attract people to these terrible jobs" there was that hard?

Paying employees a living wage is a bitch. We don't want young people or middle aged women to be able to afford to drive now

Teenagers don't need a living wage yet but they were good for teaching them good work habits and the value of a dollar. Tho after 2008 the adults took those jobs and teenagers quit working.

I worked in fast food as a teen and absolutely needed to be paid a living wage. I wasn't living with my parents. The industry exploits the already marginalized. Compensation is for the work not for the person. I could say bald people don't deserve full pay

That's a lie. If they hadn't ordered the robots much earlier they could not be inplace already. They're just trying to sell you on it now because unemployment has recently come down and they want to look good. Everyone thinks they can get by with being fake these days!

That's not true @WSJ the reason is the robot don't need benefices and they can work 24/7/365.
