Asylum seekers’ situation is the definition of powerlessness. USA mistreating these people who have no recourse is the definition of tyranny.

If I was a proponent of gun-based solution, I would have said give them guns and send them back. These are mostly economic migrants rushing to the US before border gets shutdown. No different than Chinese shipping vast amount of goods ahead of tariff imposition.

If a country can’t provide basic rights and safety for its citizens, why isn’t the United Nations getting involved? Isn’t that what they are there for, to provide assistance and security for such countries? If the UN isn’t carrying out it’d so-called duties, then they are useless

So all these years of political and military interventions in Central America didn’t bring about any meaningful change even under so-called democracy? Perhaps it is time to revert back to dictatorship? Go forth and multiply has its downside. This is one of them. Wall now!

Crime and poverty are not grounds for asylum. There are poor people all over the world living with crime and poverty and we cannot take them all in.

What is
#DotardChumPutin doing to end the violence in Central America that these poor souls are fleeing? Some foreign aid to these countries to help end the violence might help ease the flow of migrants. I'd rather spend the rest of my life in prison than raise my kids there. -
research will show you US gives 100s of millions to these countries in financial aid and we fund 28% of UN even though there are 193 member nations. So we give far, far more than anyone else. UN is supposed to handle this stuff. Ironically UN is busy reporting on poverty in US.
-
A few hundred million more in aid is still way cheaper than 25 billion for a wall. Just sayin...
-
We’ve given billions over the years (we give $100s of millions/yr) with the results being that its supposedly at least as bad or worse there now. Giving them US $ appears to have been a total waste. Cent. & South Amer. had been corrupt for decades. UN should intervene in country
