So Americans are supposed to follow laws every day, but illegals aren’t supposed to be held accountable for our laws. 🤔#NoBorderNoCountry #MAGA #IllegalAliens

It isn't a matter of whether or not they are following the law. It is how it is handled. Separating parents and children, caging children, losing children...these are completely unacceptable responses to the problem. This is a violation of law and human decency.

They should not have brought children with them. My grandpa came here legally— then sent for his family.

Whether or not what they have done is illegal does not justify this response. This is a violation of human rights. Their crimes do not warrant this response. There is no law that requires it and no precedent for it. Period. It is unacceptable. It is wrong.

Laws are to be applied to all people all of the time, not some people most of the time.

Again. This is not the law. It is a Trump policy.Nobody is saying that people should not be held accountable. They are saying THIS is not an acceptable response.Hurting children to bully people into bending to Trump's will is an atrocity. There is no justifying it.

In my fam, one of our main values is to follow the law.

I guess you've never gotten a parking or speeding ticket..which is a misdemeanor..the same thing that these people are losing their children for..

False equivalency obviously. You’re talking about a misdemeanor for a citizen vs not. Guess you’ve never robbed a liquor store to feed your fam and had your kids taken away as you went to prison either.

Yes I do know it's a crime..BUT it's a misdemeanor which is not a crime to be incarcerated for..even being an illegal..they put ankle monitors on them and send them either to family or sponsors..the children shouldn't be taken away

No. You are incorrect. This is a Trump policy in the planning since last year. https://cdn2.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/8001743/Implementing_the_President_s_Border_Security_and_Immigration_Enforcement....0.pdf …
