Ramos's violent behavior and apparent satisfaction with and enjoyment of hurting other players is beyond justification and so not normal... he needs to stay in the public eye and remain under scrutiny until he is either reigned in... or (preferably) banned!

Refs got it wrong- and they do get it wrong sometimes- it was like a judo or jujitsu move and at speed could certainly cause grave injury as it did. Refs have sanctioned players for less. Not sure where Ramos as a leader is coming from.

Wait, what? The author defends Sergio Ramos' tackle? Total BS! He was trying to take Salah out of the game. Similar to John Terry's red card foul against Barcelona's Alexi Sanchez in the Champion's League a few years ago.

I’d like to think that these kind of things are a matter of “the moment” than pre planned...and what you fail to mention his how Senegal is on its way home as sportsmanship was the group tie breaker with Japan...so being a good sport does have its rewards

People with bad sportsmanship get more attention and even their way sometimes. Just take a look at the Never Trumpers. I didn't vote for Trump btw

The situation with Ramos is more much more than poor sportsmanship. He deliberately injures people, enjoyes it as evidenced by his laughing and smirking about it and, after such disturbing behavior, his fouls are swept under the rug by his apologists and he's held up as a hero.

Sergio Ramos is such a dirty player. He deliberately hurt Salah and should be sanctioned with a ban for a whole year. He hurt Salah for no other reason than the fact that he knew in his heart that Salah was better and he was jealous.
