        Cuz they have no need to. The problem with modern capitalism is it's become quarterly game of race to the bottom rather than a matter of long term stability. Execs only want to secure their bonus not protect the company 's future.

        Yes, very disappointing that the windfall isn’t being used invest in capital improvements. Kind of expected the stock buybacks. Some new hiring. Buybacks at least return capital to the investment pool or to retirees.

        You want to know why? Two major reasons: 1. Insecurity 2. Greed There is a strong subconscious certainty that the world & the U.S. are in crisis, possibly heading to a world war. That's the source of insecurity. Greed is self-explanatory.
