Starbucks is hoping anti-bias training will help prevent fraught encounters like the one that led to the arrest of two black men, but how effective it will be is an open questionhttps://on.wsj.com/2KYKK2v

Starbucks didn’t need to change their bathroom policy. All they had to do was immediately fire the racist who worked there and let every employee know that similar behavior will not be tolerated. This isn’t difficult.

Anyone really believe that there are actual "experts" who can provide anti-bias training? 'Wonder what makes them "experts"? 'Must've read a book.

I hope the anti-bias training starts with the chairman Howard Schultz because shit rolls downhill. What we’re seeing here is a reflection of Mr Schultz himself. He made the fucking rules and now the store manager gets the blame.

I cannot help but wonder why it is that Starbucks in specific has this problem. Surely it exists elsewhere, as well.

And, we have no idea whether a racist event even occurred, because we don’t have the employees’ side of the story. We are not supposed to care, because #ibelieveStarbucksExecutives. @Starbucks, I hope some of your employees resist your infringement.https://medium.com/@petermcarthur/justbelieve-do-black-conservatives-get-allies-3b6afb6f6d53?source=linkShare-108374cf6627-1527346330 …

Every restaurant should allow people to come in, sit down, loiter, not purchase anything. It's a solid business practice in PC fantasy world.
