@NYCMayor thinking? "Arrest them, round them up en masse" And do what, overcrowd a jail with mourners? That won't spread the#coronavirus /s Also, the#NYPD@NYPDnews will be at a greater risk for infection and inter-community spread. -
These people wouldn’t be imprisoned lol they might sit in jail for a couple hours before posting bail and going home. Risk of inter community spread is directly related to concentration of individuals, the gathering had sig. more ppl than officers

the mayor acted too late. The virus spread like wildfire before he shut down. We had 100s of deaths and no new cases for the 2-3 weeks. He’s trying to cover for his egregious errors.

What I saw on the news was NOT appropriate social distancing and a number of the participants were not wearing protective masks. I understand the community's need to grieve a beloved leader's passing. But, the behavior will put others especially the NYPD at risk.
