(Not Calamity Related) In that same Superbowl, Minnesota’s own performed during the half time show. It is considered one of the greatest half time performances of all time. For me, its not one of the best, it’s THE BEST.

Although we (or I) blame the Metropolitan Sports Commission for the North Stars leaving, they deserve some credit for this one. Their injunction filed on the day MLB voted to contract 2 teams the year before, effectively saved the Twins.

There may have been a better deal with the Yankees that included Chris Chambliss, Juan Beniquez, Damasco Garcia, and a Righetti, not sure if it was Dave or his brother. I've seen reports of both.

Yes... Super Bowls very much define careers.

How can someone who lost 3 SBs and got benched in one be the best QB of "all time" even at retirement? You can throw all the stat categories he led at me you want. But to not win the big game and get benched in one...?

Maybe you meant greatest Vikings QB of all time. That I would agree with.

Listen, I love Sir Francis. He's my fav Vikings QB of all time. But he had 1TD pass in 3 Superbowl losses and got benched in one at the end. To call him the greatest QB of ALL TIME might be a stretch. He was very good AND a hall of famer...But 'of all time' might be homerism.

This project has exposed me to so many writers I didn't know about before that weren't on my radio like Klobuchar, Callum, Grow, etc...

This is in no way political. I hate politics. Jim Klobuchar wrote about the Vikings and Minnesota sports disappointment. On Super Bowl Sunday I pay to those before me like him and all the other writers for the I follow.

Two great players, and even greater men who have made education and children paramount to their post-playing careers.
