Not sure whether to like this tweet for the fact that the rhinos won’t be punished or criticize this tweet for the fact that we have to actually say that the rhinos won’t be punished.

Why would that even be a question, it's not like the rhino did anything wrong while in HIS/HER exhibit? It's sick that animals in captivity are killed when humans are at fault most of the time. They are animals!

The fact this is even said bugs the shit out of me...

Sadly, this story makes print because some inept reporter sticks a microphone in front of a zoo spokesperson and asks if/how the zoo will punish the rhinos. Zoo would never initiate this comment
-
In finding it easy to picture that...and I'd rather believe it

No animals should be punished when children, or adults, enter their enclosures whether by accident or on purpose. Thankfully Rhinos aren’t aggressive animals in captivity. Obviously in the wild you’d be an idiot to walk up to a rhino but they’ll only charge for protection

WTF does that even mean??? Why would the Rhino's ever be punished because a girl stumbled into their enclosure?
-
There have been cases of animals being shot after making contact with the people who fall inti their enclosures.
-
I remember Harambe at the Cincinnati Zoo :( I took "punished" to mean disciplined, and I don't see why they should be disciplined for a humans error.
-
They really shouldn't, especially since in cases like that, the animal is more confused and in some cases more frightened than anyone else.
