    Yesterday, we welcomed Eritrean refugees to their new homes in Alemwach, Amhara region. UNHCR was happy to support the relocated refugees with transportation, food, core relief items, plastic sheeting, and solar lamps. Working together for the people we care for!

    1,400+🇪🇷Refugees who have been sheltered in 3 public facilities since 13 July 2021 in Dabat Town, moved to AlemWach Refugee Site on 22 Feb 2022. North Gondar Zone & Dabat City adminstrators, reps from , , @IHS & invited residents attended the event.

    . is airlifting medical supplies into Tigray on behalf of & other partners. This is just a drop in the ocean. Food, fuel & other supplies urgently need to enter at scale. 200,000 litres of fuel are required every week for our humanitarian response

    dispatched the first batch - 10 metric tonnes - of the 33.5 metric tonnes of medicines, medical supplies, and equipment today. The shipment arrived in , 🇪🇹 aboard two flights. Subsequent shipments will be airlifted over the next few days.

    Thank you & for your vital support to our climate risk insurance work, which protects vulnerable farmers from the devastating impacts of the climate crisis & severe drought in Ethiopia's Somali region.

    More than 220,000 livestock have died due to the drought in southern 🇪🇹 causing food shortages & displacement. 's support to 's climate risk insurance scheme offers payout to more than 25,000 Somali households to help them deal with the effects of the drought.
