Hey @KevinJordanFail can you help us out? We have researched all over the web and can't seem to find a definitive answer. Any chance you can tell us what all happened to the Auction Houses in WoW before patch 1.9. Were they there for a short time then linked or there all along?

So I know they weren't linked at one point. Each main city had it's own auction house to create a sense of local economy, but then we changed that to faction economy plus goblin economy (shared by both) but I have no idea when we had that change. I thought it was during beta...
We did find a beta patch note saying they were deactivating all the alliance/horde auction houses except Ironforge and Orgammar. But then we can’t find any info about them being reactivated until 1.9 when they were linked.
