What? You're an attending not working for a 501(c)3 and you still haven't refinanced your student loans? Carpe Diem!

Refinancing private student loans is a no-brainer any time you can lower your interest rate. Figure offers the fastest, easiest way to refinance your student loans. With a 100% online process, there are no documents to worry about. $200 back.

In this episode, we discuss what doctors, that feel their lives are unbalanced, can do to change that. Many of us want to do it all but will we be happy trying to do it all or would it be better if we figured out wh...

It's scary to tax loss harvest on a volatile day like today, especially if you're going from funds to ETFs or vice versa. I much prefer going fund to fund so it all takes place at the same time. If the market rebounds sharply before close, I really score though.

Just put the biggest mutual fund/ETF buy/sell orders of my life in while tax loss harvesting almost my entire taxable account. Glad I got to practice with a 4 figure account years ago.

My hospital has two regular ventilators, and a handful of disposable ones. We have ordered 100 more. Hopefully they show up before we need them.

If you are a physician, are you directly employed full-time by a 501(c)3? (i.e. would your job, if held by a new indebted grad, qualify for PSLF?)

If you've been budgeting for years, go pull out one of your old budgets. You'll get a kick out of it.

Markets way down today. I'll be tax loss harvesting again today. You might want to too. I've run through my usual Vanguard options and going to iShares TSM (ITOT) and TISM (IXUS). Careful of the 60 day rule as TSM funds will pay a dividend soon.

It is the duty of an investor in stocks to lose money from time to time. A bear market is not something you react to, it is an expected event that should be incorporated into your written financial plan and a major reason why stocks have higher long term returns than bonds/cash.

No different than what we did in Honduras last summer in a hospital with one vent. The biggest decision on rounds each day was who got the vent today. The CT was only fired up once a week.

Returned to work in the emergency department for the first time since this got serious in my city to find a ghost town. Overnight doc pitched a no-hitter—not a single patient on her shift. Drive-by testing tent outside.
